2024 Acura ZDX EV Promises Precise Design, Google Infotainment
Acura's first electric vehicle gets a lighted nose and help from Google and GM for technology.
Despite the many spy photos of the upcoming 2024 Acura ZDX all-electric SUV, there's still a lot left to the imagination, and we're curious to see how the luxury brand handles the packaging and design opportunities presented by the more expansive interiors of electric vehicles. that we haven't seen from Acura yet.
A teaser of the new ZDX proves that it's inspired by the brand's Precision EV Concept car, and we know it will borrow Ultium motor and battery components from General Motors for its powertrain (before future Acura EVs pivot to a different platform).
We can't conclude much from the teaser, except that it lives up to a modern interpretation of Acura's luxurious yet sporty design language. The teaser confirms the Diamond Pentagon grille will light up, and Acura promises the new EV will feature Google infotainment integration for apps and services, as well as a Bang & Olufsen premium audio setup. The teaser announcement also promises the ZDX Type S performance variant will be the "most powerful and fastest acceleration SUV" in Acura history.
