Available On-Demand AWD
Get more power and more traction thanks to the innovative Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (AWD). Now available on the LE and as standard on SE and XSE it makes Corolla the only compact hybrid passenger car available with all-wheel drive. Separate rear-mounted electric motors power the rear wheels when needed for added confidence in any weather.
1.8-LITRE 4-CYLINDER
All hybrid models feature Toyota’s 1.8-litre Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder engine paired with electric motor-generators for more power and fuel efficiency. Generating 134 horsepower, it requires just 4.7L/100 km‡ for combined city/hwy driving on the Corolla Hybrid LE.
E-CVT
The electronically controlled CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) is cleverly designed to give you the smooth, fuel-efficient performance of a CVT with the more direct driving feel of traditional geared automatic transmission.
