Toyota bZ4X From £43,780 "Toyota's electric" crossover finally makes it to UK roads

Toyota's hard work in creating electrified vehicles finds its form in the All New Toyota bZ4X (bi-zi-for-ex) as Toyota's first all-new Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). The name refers to the size of the car – 4 for mid-size – and the type of vehicle, in this case X for Crossover SUV. This future car is a new breakthrough in launching the zero emissions bZ genre as an abbreviation for “Beyond Zero” with off-road capabilities to the BEV market for the first time. Its arrival will accelerate Toyota's multi-pathway towards the ultimate goal of carbon neutrality. The quality and performance of the bZ4X is based on Toyota's leading experience in developing electric vehicle (EV) technology for more than a quarter of a century. This cross-SUV is completely original and the first in a series of bZ-coded vehicles to be built on a new platform dedicated to BEVs. eTNGA integrates the battery into the chassis completely under the vehicle floor. The result is a strong, rigid chassis and a low center of gravity. The determining factor is the stable and satisfactory dynamic performance of the bZ4X. The modular design is easy to adopt for use in a variety of different vehicle types, from small to larger segments.

Brief Profile of the All New Toyota bZ4X The All New bZ4X is built on the basis of the e-TNGA Platform which is a refinement of the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). However, optimized, and dedicated to Battery Electric Vehicles. One of the advantages is that the slim battery unit is located completely under the floor of the vehicle as an integral part of the chassis thus helping to achieve a low center of gravity, ideal front-rear weight balance and high body rigidity. The Lithium-ion battery in the bZ4X has a capacity of 71.4 kWh which, when fully charged, this battery has a range of up to 500 km without producing any emissions. By using the e-TNGA platform, the bZ4X battery can be integrated into the chassis so that it is safe from impacts from various sides. The water cooling system that integrates with the car's air conditioning system is used to stabilize the battery temperature after extensive use to maintain battery performance and safety.

Going inside, the interior theme of the bZ4X is comfort and spaciousness which provides a cabin-style living room atmosphere. Combined with the largest 12.3 inch touch screen in a Toyota car with a navigation menu along with complete connectivity features to smartphones. The first for electric cars in Indonesia, there is also the Advanced Park feature which is designed to assist the driver when parallel parking or parking backwards without the need to move the steering wheel at all. As an advanced car, the All New bZ4X utilizes the most advanced active safety features to protect drivers and other road users, namely Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) 3.0. T Intouch's advanced telematics features are also embedded. This is technology that connects users and cars with various Toyota mobility services through mTOYOTA.
