Specifications regarding the latest generation of the Toyota Crown are still half-hearted. Presumably, the 16th generation models are still entering the maturation stage.
Of all the Toyota Crown models, they have only come up with a description of the specifications for the Crown Crossover model.
From their explanation, the Toyota Crown Crossover itself will be available in several variants. The Toyota Crown Crossover will be available in RS, G and X types.
The development uses the TNGA-K platform. This platform has been used in the Toyota Camry, Highlander and Lexus RX type.
Not only will the type be different, the Crown Crossover will also have two engine choices. The engines in types G and X are hybrid, namely the Series Parallel Hybrid. The internal combustion engine itself has a capacity of 2,500 cc.
Above it is the RS type with a hybrid turbo engine. The engine capacity is slightly smaller, namely 2,400 cc and is supported by the E-Four Advance driveline.
First is the interior
which gives the impression of a sports car. Unlike the Crown Sedan which looks majestic and luxurious, the Crown Sport looks more masculine with the use of red materials and dark chrome.
The Crown Sport also has a perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching and accents and sport bucket front seats.
Regarding features, there is great potential for the Crown Sport to bring many complete features that already exist in the Crown Crossover.
But one feature that may be unique to the Crown Sport is the Lexus-inspired digital instrument display.
What about the engine and drivetrain? Toyota says the Crown Sport will come with two hybrid options, namely a regular hybrid and a plug-in hybrid.
For a regular hybrid, the Toyota Crown Sport is strongly suspected to use a hybrid system similar to the Crown Crossover. The hybrid system uses a four-cylinder turbo engine with a capacity of 2,393 cc which is capable of producing a combined power of up to 350 hp. For the plug-in hybrid, we suspect the Crown Sport will use a system similar to the RAV4 PHEV or get a turbo hybrid system but with a larger battery that can be charged.
