Volkswagen rilis "Golf R 333"

Volkswagen Volkswagen has released a new special edition Golf R

Volkswagen has released a new special edition Golf R, which will be sold exclusively in limited quantities with a bespoke package and Akrapovič exhaust.

The Autocar page on Wednesday (31/5) reported that the Volkswagen Golf R 333 Limited Edition uses the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder EA888 engine as the standard Golf R.

Power was increased to 328bhp (333PS) and 309lb ft, an increase from the standard 319bhp.

Its improved performance means it can reach a top speed of 167mph (268kph) and complete the 0-62mph sprint in 4.6 seconds.

Standard equipment includes an R performance exhaust system supplied by Akrapovič, featuring a titanium rear silencer. A set of 19-inch Estoril wheels fit semi-slick tires.

The Golf R 333 is finished with Lime Yellow metallic paint, black roof, and 333 stickers emblazoned around the interior and exterior.

Inside, sport-style seats from Nappa leather and a premium audio system from Harmon Kardon are installed.

Along with the Golf R 20 Years celebration, this is the most powerful version of the Golf yet. It's also the most expensive, with a price tag of €76,410 (£65,802).

Each Golf R 333 unit will be numbered and display a small placard with the designation.

The vehicle is available exclusively for customers in Germany, with production to start in September this year and deliveries planned to start in October.

The Golf R 333 shares some striking similarities with the model presented in 2017 in the form of a performance package for the Mk7.5 Golf R which includes an Akrapovič exhaust plus suspension changes.

The package also increases top speed from an electronically limited 155mph to 166mph (267kph) and adds drilled disc brakes and shock absorber adjustments, plus bright yellow paint.
