The vehicle is available exclusively for customers in Germany, with production to start in September this year and deliveries planned to start in October.
The Golf R 333 shares some striking similarities with the model presented in 2017 in the form of a performance package for the Mk7.5 Golf R which includes an Akrapovič exhaust plus suspension changes.
The package also increases top speed from an electronically limited 155mph to 166mph (267kph) and adds drilled disc brakes and shock absorber adjustments, plus bright yellow paint.
