KTM X-Bow GT

KTM X-Bow GT Review
There may be a super sports car that meets this description. I don't know if it's because of its spectacular appearance. I don't know if it's because the technology is extraordinary. I don't know if it's because of their stunning performance. Or is it because of their history rich in tradition? However, no other car epitomizes the term "super sports car" as thoroughly and uncompromisingly as the KTM X-BOW GT. Based on the KTM X-BOW R – which is unique in terms of high technology, safety, riding dynamics, and appearance – Austrian manufacturer KTM has created a vehicle whose extraordinary characteristics can also be experienced without a helmet.

KTM itself is no longer a foreign name in the automotive or racing world, especially in the two-wheeled sector. The Austrian company has a line of fast motorbikes from all genres.

However, apart from that, KTM is also developing four performance-oriented road vehicles. Recently KTM introduced the X-Bow GT-XR supercar.

Summarized from several sources, Monday (12/9/2022), the car comes with a monocoque body made of carbon fiber which automatically makes the weight of this car very light. Moreover, combined with the tubular chassis underneath.

The body design looks very aggressive with functional components to maximize downforce.

Not only what is visible, such as the rear wing, rear diffuser, or front splitter, but the floor or bottom of the car is also designed in such a way as to "secure" the incoming wind.

Meanwhile, the power source is an Audi engine with a capacity of 2,500 cc turbo 5-cylinder which can produce 500 hp of power and a maximum torque of 581 Nm.

The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which sends power to the rear wheels with the help of a limited slip differential.

As an illustration of its performance, the KTM X-Bow GT-XR can accelerate from 0-100 km per hour in just 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 280 km per hour.

Apart from being designed for "speeding" on the circuit, this car is also said to be suitable for use on the highway. This is the first KTM X-Bow model to receive road-legal status.

This cannot be separated from the presence of a fuel tank large enough to reach 96 liters, electric power steering, and a hydraulic lift system to increase the ground clearance of this car.

For information, the KTM X-Bow itself was first introduced in 2008. The first generation came with an open roof design.

Then came the second generation, GT4, which started using a roof, followed by the GTX.

From the beginning, these models had track use-only status, and only in this generation, the KTM X-Bow can be used on public highways.
