There remains only a slight connection between the GEMBALLA TORNADO 750 GTS and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. At best, the Porsche SUV is the flagship model of the latest development by the automaker from Leonberg near Stuttgart. At first glance, the target aimed at by the technicians at GEMBALLA Automobiltechnik GmbH & Co. KG can be defined clearly: moving away from SUVs and more towards uncompromising sports cars. The reason for this metamorphosis is the large demand for high-performance sports cars with dimensions and spacious interiors like SUVs.
25 years of experience with innovative products based on Porsche sports cars contributed to the development of this new car. Owner Uwe Gemballa's signature is also clearly visible on the TORNADO 750 GTS: 750 hp of power and a reduced vehicle weight of 250 kg are just two of the unique selling points of this extraordinary car. Once again, the company emphasizes its expertise in striking design and incredibly powerful engine technology.
Striking design for the highest requirements
To meet the increasing demands of sports cars in terms of lightweight construction and torsional rigidity, Uwe Gemballa's team optimized almost the entire car body. Therefore, carbon materials which are very strong and especially light are mainly used. The front apron extended by 60 millimeters with integrated aero lip produces greater downforce on the front axle and in conjunction with the extended rear, giving the appearance of a typical elongated sports car. The wide air inlet sucks in additional fresh air for the engine, oil, and air intercooler; Moreover, the air duct system even channels air to the front brakes. On the other hand, engine heat is effectively diverted through air ducts in the newly designed bonnet. The special feature of the bonnet is its combination with the front wing and the new reverse opening mechanism. Compared to the Cayenne series, the one-piece bonnet wing unit now opens forward allowing better access to the engine.
