The Chevrolet Trailblazer is a subcompact SUV with five seats. It's powered by a choice of two three-cylinder engines: a 137-horsepower, turbocharged 1.2-liter or a 155-hp, turbocharged 1.3-liter. Front-wheel-drive versions have a continuously variable automatic transmission, while all-wheel-drive models get a nine-speed automatic. Competitors include the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Kona and Nissan Rogue Sport.
Standard features include:
7 inch touch screen multimedia system
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity
4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot (requires data subscription after trial period)
Forward collision warning
Automatic emergency braking
Help keep track
Automatic high beam headlights
Available features include:
8 inch touch screen
Wireless device charging
Simulated leather upholstery
Heated front seats
Bose premium stereo
Adaptive cruise control
Blind spot warning with rear cross traffic alert
The Trailblazer's roomy interior and entertaining driving experience are highlights, as are its many standard active safety features. However, there's not much power reserve at mid-range speeds, and while the ride quality is good at city speeds, it's not as good on the highway.
