Bugatti made several mechanical modifications to the 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine. Adjustments made include the turbocharger, cylinder head, and oil pump. The RPM has also been increased by 300 rpm to 7,100 rpm, while the maximum torque is up to 1,600 Nm.
The new touch received by this car allows its users to feel a wider rotation range, namely in the range of 2,000-7,000 rpm. The torque output produces 1,600 PS or 1,577 hp. The transmission section also gets adjustments, the seventh gear becomes 3.6% longer so this vehicle actually experiences a change in acceleration from sixth to seventh gear at 403 km/hour.
All the upgrades to the pacemaker mechanism make the car 7% faster than the regular Chiron. The Chiron Super Sport can accelerate from rest to a speed of 200 km/h in just 5.8 seconds and only takes 12.1 seconds to reach 300 km/h. Its top speed is electronically limited to 440 km/h because if left unchecked, its ability can make this car go up to speeds of 500 km per hour.
