2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R, FoMoCo is quick to close the gap on the performance of the powerful Ram 1500 TRX off-roader. But for those looking to add additional performance to their Ram 1500 TRX, Granger Motors of Granger, Iowa have added two new TRX “Tyrant” Performance packages to mix for 2023, ensuring that TRX will keep the Raptor R in place. .

The TRX Tyrant Performance package propels a supercharged 6.2-liter (376 cubic inches) HEMI HELLCAT V8 engine of 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque. torque, up to 787 horsepower and 702 lb.-ft. torque (an increase of 85 horsepower and 52 lb.-ft. of torque). The added power is good enough to propel this massive pickup to its 1/4 mile time in 11.84 seconds. @ 114 mph, a 0.9 second and 8 mph increase over the regular TRX.

The standard package will set you back $7,995, and includes a 3 Year and 36,000 Mile warranty. TRX Tyrant 37-Inch Performance Package, the package is priced at $ 14,995. Price includes exchange of factory parts (including wheels & tires) with installed parts. There is an option to keep OEM factory parts, but it will cost you an additional $2,000 to do so.

The best thing about this package is the support. The TRX Tyrant is offered with an industry-leading 3 Years/36,000 Miles extended vehicle warranty. This means that the warranty will cover the engine, transmission, and drivetrain on the truck. Warranty coverage is facilitated through a third party administrator, EGAssurance, and is valid at any Stellantis dealer across the country.

The rest of the truck is still covered by Ram's bumper-to-bumper warranty. With the TRX Tyrant Granger package updating the software with the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and Powertrain Control Module (PCM) from the Ram setup, customers can't simply flash the software to the latest factory software, without the truck not operating properly. If your truck is serviced at a Chrysler/Dodge/FIAT/Jeep/Ram dealer, the customer should ensure no flash updates have been performed on the vehicle, according to Granger.

Another thing to keep in mind is that all emissions systems are still present on the upgraded vehicle and have not been changed from its OEM configuration. However, Granger did not perform any emissions testing on the TRX Tyrant, so it cannot guarantee that the truck will pass all emissions, so customers should do their research to ensure their truck can meet local regulations.
